PASSIONATE HOSPITALITY SINCE 1660

The Speckled Hen is one of Ireland's oldest pubs dating back to 1660.

Situated in the ancient Parish of Derriaghy (Doire Achaidh – Field of Oak) on the edge of Milltown Village, the Speckled Hen has a warm, cosy atmosphere and a passion for simple, rustic cuisine, craft beers, ciders, great coffee and a friendly welcome. Relax in the old bar, enjoy a drink in front of the fire or in the pubs beer garden cabañas. Try a beer from the pubs Black Mountain Brewery or one of its own Hen’s Blend spirits.

Choose from a selection of great pub food presented at its very best in one of our dining room or enjoy a delicious artisan stone baked pizza from the pub's pizza pod.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Speckled Hen.
